Start with the dish and router.
Check the hardware you own before choosing a fitted case. Mini combines a compact antenna and Wi-Fi in one unit. Performance (Gen 3), Standard 4 and Standard 4 X are different kit references; identify the terminal, router, power supply, mounts and cables before comparing layouts.
| Hardware reference | Antenna dimensions | Wi-Fi arrangement |
|---|---|---|
| Mini | 298.5 × 259 × 38.5 mm | Integrated into Mini |
| Current Standard 4 X specification | 594 × 383 × 39.7 mm | Separate Router 3 |
| Performance (Gen 3) | 609 × 396 × 40 mm | Separate router; not included in the base Performance kit |

A familiar name can cover a different kit.
Starlink has changed its Standard kit names. Its naming notice explains Standard 4 and Standard 4 X, including the different router combinations; the hardware many customers called Gen 3 is part of that naming history. Check the label and the actual router rather than relying on the word Standard alone.
Match the complete kit to the case layout
Start with the dish label, then check the router and power equipment you actually carry. These are examples from the current official kit guides, not a complete list of possible combinations. Router 3 can be used in more than one setup, so the router alone does not identify your kit or confirm case fit.
| Current guide example | Hardware and case-layout check |
|---|---|
| Mini | Mini has integrated Wi-Fi. Account for the stand, power source, cable and any networking equipment you have added when comparing the terminal and accessory spaces. |
| Standard 4 X | The current guide shows a separate Router 3, power supply, kickstand and cables. Compare each part with the case photograph; the presence of a Router 3 alone is not a fit check. |
| Standard 4 | The current guide shows Router Mini, its stand, a power supply and a separate router Ethernet cable. Check the space for that whole arrangement rather than assuming a recess pictured with Router 3 fits it. |
| Performance (Gen 3) | The base kit includes the terminal, Advanced Power Supply and cables. The confirmed Performance Gen 3 case arrangement also carries a Wedge Mount and Router 3; these are separate accessories, not items supplied with the case. |

Make a complete packing list.
- Identify the dish, kickstand and any adapter attached to it.
- For a larger kit, identify the router and power supply as well.
- Check your cables, plugs and optional power bank against the recesses. A similar-looking battery may have different dimensions.
- Compare what the case stores with what the purchase actually includes.
Check the current product's layout and included-items list. An adapter fitted to the terminal can change the space it needs. The Mini double-layer listing is case only; photographed hardware and power equipment are not included. Use the current Mini case layout photos to compare the available products.
For the confirmed Performance (Gen 3), Wedge Mount, Advanced Power Supply and Router 3 arrangement, use the Performance Gen 3 packing and layout guide. It includes an actual Performance Gen 3 case packing photograph and separates official equipment dimensions from case measurements.

Compare the case layoutsModel and case-fit questions
Is Performance (Gen 3) the same as Standard?
No. Performance (Gen 3) and Standard are different hardware families. Performance Gen 3 case is shown for the confirmed Performance combination; do not assume the same insert fits Standard 4, Standard 4 X, older Performance equipment or different mounts.
Are the dish dimensions enough to choose a fitted case?
No. Check the router, power supply, stand, adapters, cable coil and connector clearance as well. Antenna dimensions do not describe usable case space or the room an attached accessory needs. Ask for current compartment measurements when a fit matters to your setup.
